We are trying to see if there are medicare rules or any coding rules regarding how to bill extended recovery room charges in a hospital outpatient setting.
Eg: we had a bill for a three day recovery post op billed as outpatient instead of inpatient. We want to know if there is any rule that would convert that stay
after a period of time to inpatient.
