Hi - when Medicare covers a tetanus because it's needed due to an injury, is there a set time limit for billing it as an injury? For example, a patient cuts herself, needs a tetanus, but doesn't get it until a week later. Also, the patient did not seek treatment for the cut, so there is no documentation that it happened. It would only be noted when she finally comes in for the vaccine.
