Our facility recently went to Meditech. I mainly code outpatient and my supervisor wants me to only work from the ECHART. My question is since the EMR is connected is there any reason why I cannot work from both to get the information I need to code correctly. There are multiple issues with getting the information I need to code in just the ECHART. He feels that everything should be in the ECHART.
