1. Is Radonc a subspecialty of Medonc or is Radonc considered part of Medonc?

1. Radiation oncology and medical oncology are 2 different unique specialties.
2. A new patient is someone who has not seen the provider or another provider of the same specialty in that group in the past 3 years. The visit with radonc may be coded as new assuming each provider is appropriately credentialed with the insurance company as the correct different specialty.
