I am coding for a psychologist and he recently did 4 home visits for a patient. He gave me the icd 9 code 300.00 and the cpt 90821. This was denied by medicare....does anyone know what cpt code i would use to code and bill the home visit? Thanks

Is the patient in patient/partial hospital or residenital care facility? If yes, then code is appropriate, make sure your place of service for Medicare is 13.

If he was seen in his own home use 90808 with a place of service 12.

What was your denial from Medicare?? I assume it has something to do with the place of service.
