Hi, Can you help me out with the Codes 99304 - 99318 ? Are these codes properly applied to mental health mental assessment services? I believe that it is not properly codes for mental health services. A worker from my company asked me for a help to make sure these codes are applied to health mental services program for billing.

It is my understanding that CPT 99304-99318 can be utilized for mental health patients in a nursing home setting as well as for E&M services provided to patients in a psychiatric residential treatment center.
 
My understanding is the codes 99304-99318 are for E/M services in a nursing home setting only. If you are looking for codes for psychiatry services and E/M together in a facility setting (inpatient) I would look toward 90817, 90819, 90822, etc.
