Patient has exposed mesh which can be felt thru skin (not perforated). Doctor taking her back to or and since pt has "excess" skin, will close it over the mesh. I am stumped for cpt!!!
 
I'm not sure if this is correct, but how about 57295? If you show the explanation of the procedure in the OB/Gyn Coding Companion to your physician, he can tell you if that is what was performed. I've been coding OB/Gyn for a long time and never saw this before.
 
This is the code that I presented as well. She said no. The only other code I can think of would be a skin repair code 12041-12047 but I think 57295 is more appropriate (maybe with a 52 mod). thanks
