Another Georgia question...

Our current NP has resigned and our new NP will be taking over her same schedule, which already has Medicaid / Medicaid CMO patients scheduled. Can we bill under the provider who signs off on every chart?

Or do we have to move all her Medicaid /CMO patients to other schedules and wait until she's fully credentialled?

You cannot bill under a provider that is not present while the patient is there, and if a physician in your practice did not originally see the patient for the same diagnosis then you cannot bill under a supervising physician. The incident -to provisions must be met to bill under a physician when another provider is the one rendering the service.
