My Nurse Prationer in our group performs the insertion of the mirena, was wondering how to post these charges?

Mirena Charges

The charge for insertion is 58300 and the charge for the device is J7302 - you will also need to include the NDC number on the claim for the device if it is a insurance carrier that requires it.

Do we charge a visit with this as well?

You can charge a visit with modifier 25 as well if a significantly separately identifiable E/M was performed same day, which is appropriately documented.

i forgot to tell you that the diagnosis code for insertion is V25.1.

You can bill an office visit - if the office visit wasn't related to the IUD - with the modifier -25 and a separate diagnosis if the office visit is appropriately documented in the chart because the insurance company may request records.
