what are the rules for using the stent code 92941 for MI's? must it be within a certain time frame? If so what is that time frame?

CPT Assistant March 2014 Page 14 answers this in there Q/A section. They state "The key word in the code descriptor of code 92941 is during AMI. If a patient is admitted with an AMI on Monday, and a stent is placed sometime the next day, the stent was not placed during the AMI; therefore, code 92928, Percutaneous transcatheter placement of intracoronary stent(s), with coronary angioplasty when performed; single major coronary artery or branch, is the appropriate code to report."
