Wiki Mod 51 or 59 very confused

I have a scenario where these are the procedures performed.

27080 (coccygectomy), 15933- (sacral ulcer excision), 20245- (sacral bone biopsy)


Could anyone explain to me which modifier I need here? I'm thinking 51, but I'm having difficulty understanding the difference between the two.

Without seeing at the OP report, I believe 20245 should not be coded with 15933. Code 15933 includes ostectomy. As far as modifier goes, mod 51 should be appended to 27080, as there is no CCI edit bundling in them and the it's charge is less than 15933. Hope this helps.

Dadhich, I have to say I was thinking the same about not using 27080 and 15933 together, however my course instructor indicates to me that this is the correct combination of codes.
