I am having issues with new born codes and modifier 24. For example on provider sees the patient and does a 99460 and 41010. The next day he sees the patient 99462 added mod 24 per 10 day global. the 99462 denies per incorrect modifier. The following day he uses 99238 with mod 24 and it pays. Please advise.
 
If the doctor is seening the patient for the same diagnosis that he did the procedure for with the 90day global you will have to write it off with the reason within global. If the diagnosis is different the modifier 24 will be paid by the insurance company.
