Wiki Modifer 25 - My co-workers

Hi all,

My co-workers and I are in a little debate about the use of a modifier 25 on an E/M service while billing a 76815 as well. I am convinced that we do not use modifier 25's when it comes to 70000 codes but they are telling me otherwise. Can anyone shine some light on this subject or provide something in writting proving me wrong?

Use modifier -25 only on E&M services, when a procedure with 0 or 10 global days is performed by the same physician on the same date of service. Use it only when the E&M service is separate and distinct

I know to use the 25 only on E/M but is appending this modifer to the E/M service appropriate when you are billing out a 76815?

per ncci edits 25 modifier is not applicable (9) for 76815 billed with an e/m code. so, no modifier required.
