I am new to cardiology coding and received a stress test interp report today to code. Procedure performed: MVO2 stress test. Done in a patient being evaluated for cardiac transplantation.
Anyone? Bueller?
CPT for this? I have googled, I have encoderpro'd...I am about to lose my mind UP IN HERE!

93015 is an office stress test regardless of the protocol used.

93016 & 93018 would be used for a hospital performed/dr supervised & interpreted stress test, also any protocol.

cardiac preop exam diagnosis is V72.81
