Is it appropriate use of modifier 25 on E and M code, when labs, xray and strep and mono test only thing being performed during the visit. No procedure being done. thanks
 
No, none of the items you mention would be considered a procedure, so no -25 modifier is needed.

Thank you so much for this information! I have been searching the forum for this answer, and I'm wondering if you have information, or could tell me where to find the information, about what is considered a 'procedure' and what isn't. I bet it's in the book and I just haven't found it yet!
