What can anyone tell me about using modifier 25 on the e/m when doing any clia testing? thanks

I'm being told by our chief coder, that rather it be a strep, flu or dipstick, the e/m needs the 25

modifier 25

we always bill our E/M code with a modifier 25 when we have a lab test done in our office. It is the only way that we get paid. We also have CLIA#s for our lab tests

When billing an E/M code with immunization and admin chgs, do you use Modifier 25? We have a debate going on in our office and since I work there, that has been the only way we can get the claims through and paid? But I am not sure if it is right or not? Any help would be great!
