When a physician performs a routine physical and the pt also has a chest xray and ekg in the office. The same physicain interprets them both the same day same visit..... do I attach modifier 26?
If the physician is aqlso documenting a radiology report you would use mod -26 on the appropriate CXR code. As for interp and report of the EKG use 93010. Unless the practice the physician is in owns the equipment for both and employs the technician then the CXR would not have -26 and the EKG would be reported 93000.
