Hi all,
Can anyone calrify the below coded scenario, the cpt billed is
29880
29876-51-59,
Please clarify the modifier,51 and 59 should be billed on same DOS.
 
Modifier 59 is correct on 29876 as long as it meets the modifier requirements as being separate and identifiable. It has been our experience that we NEVER append modifier 51. The carrier will append. Unless you are proficient in the rules and regs on 51 there is potential for misplacement and revenue loss. Hope this has helped.
