Does anyone who does facility billing for colonoscopy/egd use the 52 modifier for incomplete/reduced procedures? I am trying to get clarification on the use of the 52 vs. the 73/74 modifiers. Thanks
 
There is a note under modifier 52 in the CPT book regarding the use of the 73 and 74 modifiers. We use the 73 and 74 modifiers and don't forget to use the V64.x diagnosis to indicate the procedure was not performed/reduced.
