When a Provider does a Wet Mount/KOH is the correct modifier 59 or would you use 76? Thank you
 
You would use modifier 76 when the same provider performs exactly the same CPT code/procedure more than once on the same day. The modifier would go on the second CPT not the first. An example would be an EKG in the morning and a repeat EKG in the afternoon by the same provider. 93000, 93000-76.
