Wiki Modifier 62

Our OB/GYN provider was called in as a consulting surgeon for a general surgeon who had performed a laparoscopic appendectomy on a patient. Our provider then did a laparoscopic right paratubal cystectomy. Should the providers each use the modifier 62 or each just code out their own procedure with no modifier?

They did not help each other, they just did their own procedure.

Then they would bill their own separate procedure with no 62 modifier.
