Wiki modifier 79 question

I have a claim that needs the -79modifier since the current procedure is unrelated to global ~

do I need to append the -79 to all 6 lines of my new claim? or only on the 1st/primary line?

You would need to append the modifier 79 to any procedures on that same claim that are unrelated to the global period. The only exception I can think of would be for any add-on codes; add-on codes won't need it because the parent code already has it.

You would need to apply it to any of the codes that have a 0, 10 or 90 day global period.
The only ones you would not need to attach it to are the codes that a global concept doesn't apply, like 75710 or 97605.
