NY work claims denying as not allow AS modifier for physician assistant assisting in surgery . They requesting to change to modifier 83. Can we use this modifier ?
 
Yeah, something only NY WC even thinks exists as a modifier. One of those situations that you simply have to follow the carrier guidelines, even if they would be incorrect for any other carrier.
