I have a coding issue that I hope someone can help with, please.

My providers frequently order this lab test. The code is 86147. Per my providers these are two separate lab tests even though it is reported with the same code. I have been reporting these tests as:

86147
86147-59

The payers deny the second test as inclusive. Am I coding this correctly or should there be another way or modifier. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
