Hospital discharge 99238(3/12) denied global to 11200 skin tag removal(3/11) on newborn -Different day What modifier would be used!?

If it was the same physician, then use 24 on the discharge. If it was a different physician, appeal with records. Hope that helps! ;)
 
10-day global

11200 has a 10-day global period. If the discharge was TRULY separate from the procedure, then it would be appropriate to use the -24 modifier. HOWEVER, if it was mostly connected to the skin tag issue, then the service is global to the procedure and should not be billed at all.
