I need mod help for a claw toe repair for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th toe on rt side of body. cpt code 26530...i get errors on this encoder no matter what I do with this case!! what do i do to capture these 4 toes on the procedure?????:)
 
Did you use the T modifiers? T6, T7, T8, T9 for the toes you mentioned. A separate line item for each toe, as you can append only one toe modifier per line item.
 
I did put those in but the encoder went nuts with errors. we have a quantim encoder and it is often inaccurate. SO with that said I'll go ahead and code as you mention and ignore the encoder.
