I hoping to get some insight and help. My MOHs surgeon wants to send a piece of the debulking to pathology for review. Guidelines say it can't be the same tissue processed, would that be considered part of the tissue processed. She added pages of guidelines why it can be billed but nothing in the note says why. I would think she would need to say why she is sending it. What modifier would you use on the pathology code. Thanks in advance for any help, it would be greatly appreciated.
