I can't find the guidelines on using modifier 25 to a Preventative Exam codes when immunizations are also done. Wondering if modifiers can be added to a preventative exam codes.

Modifier 25 is allowed on preventative exam codes (example: 99382, 99391, etc). Depending on the carrier and contracts some carriers will require the use of modifier 25 to differentiate between the examination and the vaccinations, and others will not require the code. Make sure to double check!
