I have read the Medicare guidelines for what is included in MCP charges so I think I understand that but my question is if our provider (that also charges MCP visits) also wants to evaluate the patient to do surgery for a new access for these patients. Am I correct in saying that is included in MCP payments? It shows in bullet 3 Assessment and determination of type of dialysis access best suited for a given patient. That (to me) means it is part of MCP.
I would appreciate any input.
