We currently perform monthly monitors on all staff for review of accuracy of processing claims. We are researching the option to change this to a quarterly process.
What are best practices? We are hoping for feedback on what other companies are doing.

Most places I've worked will adjust the frequency of reviews as needed based on results. Staff and/or physician who have high error rates will be monitored more often whereas those who consistently meet quality standards maybe only need a review once a year.

I haven't encountered anywhere that monitors monthly though - that seems overly intensive. A new employee may need 100% review at first, but once they are past their probationary period and meeting quality standards for their position, then I would think that quarterly should be sufficient, at most. If unusual errors or patterns are identified in the interim, it's always an option to put them back on a more frequent quality reviews as needed.
