I am in Colorado. We are having problems getting paid by Worker's Compensation, Medicare, and various private insurance carriers for the Fluoro guidance, 77002, when billing for MR arthrograms. I am coding the injection, ie 23550, 77002 and 73222. There are no CCI edits, and my research has confirmed this is correct coding. Is anybody else having problems? How are you coding? What am I missing? Your input is greatly appreciated.

Have the Radiologist document a 73040, so you can bill 23350, 73040, 73222. 73040 is medically necessary to see if the contrast perfuses around the joint. If the gad does not perfuse around the joint, the MRI will confirm tears, etc.
