Hi all, trying to help a co-worker with this one. Patient is in his 50's in a nursing home, being checked for dementia and other possible psych issues.

MRI of brain w/ and w/o contrast is being done, as well as a gradient echo for blood. We have the first part of this (MRI of brain) but does anybody know what code to use for the gradient echo of the brain?

Thanks!

I bill for the Professional Component for a group of Radiologist. We do not charge seperately for the gradient echo of the brain. You would just charge the 70553 only.
