If an ep study is done on the same day as ICD implant..will it come under the new rule of reduced services?
 
NCCI vs Multiple Procedure Reduction

Hello,

Around November 1, 2012 the final rule was posted for the Multiple Procedure Payment Reduction (MPPR) policy, Medicare reduces payment for the second and subsequent therapy, surgical, nuclear medicine and advanced imaging procedures furnished to the same patient on the same day. They did list which procedure would be affect by this ruling.

then you have your NCCI - for bundling.
