Hi there!
I was wondering what the average policy is for patients being seen for an injury sustained from an MVA. I've worked in multiple urgent care clinics and the policy was that the patient paid for the visit as self-pay then submitted the bill to their liability insurance carrier to be reimbursed. I thought this was a standard policy; one of our area hospitals does the same thing. However, we received a letter from an attorney stating that this practice is illegal. How do you guys handle these visits?
