Hello
I bill for cardiologists that interpret EKGs, Stress tests, echos, etc. that are done at a hospital. The nuc med part of the Stress test is always done in radiology; however, sometimes the cardiologist does the interpretation. I know that the injection of the istope is part of the 78465 so if it is done in radiology, should the cardiologist bill with a 52 modifier in addition to the 26? Thanks!!

Hi, I also do hospital billing for a group of cardiologist. I have never added the 52 modifier on those. They pay just fine with the 26.

Hope that helps:)
