Hi All. Are images needed when a request is made for all documentation for a nasal endoscopy? If so, is it written somewhere?

Usually it's diagnostic imaging/radiology such as US, XR, CT, MRI that requires images be sent for medical records requests per payer guidelines and CPT. I haven't seen this requirement for diagnostic endoscopy. You could check the manual for the payer you are submitting records to. Their request might also specify what they want. It may not hurt to send them. However, you don't want to "oversend" records either.
