What code would be billed for a nasal endoscopy with video for documentation purposes? I only found 31579 but our physician did not examine the larynx.

I don't see why you couldn't append the 52 modifier? Our doc's aren't using video yet for sinus; although considering it. Our SLP's do lots of strobes.

31579 is not the correct code, nor is a 52 modifier appropriate.

That is the code (31579) for examining the larynx using a strobe and documenting vocal cord function. It has nothing to do with nasal endoscopy.

The correct code for diagnostic nasal is 31231.

There is no extra payment for video of which I am aware.
