I have been looking for criteria and not finding it. Was wondering if Nebulizers 94640 can be billed when performed by a nurse in the inpatient setting or does it need to be performed by a Respiratory Therapist in order to be a billable service? Thank you!

Regardless of which clinician furnished the service, it would be part of the facility bill, therefore paid under DRG. The short answer is that you cannot code it in CPT because it is an inpatient facility charge.
