Does anyone have the CPT code for a Karapanzic flap?
 
It is a technique for lip reconstruction to my understanding.. but I can't seem to find a code for it either. The best thing I could come up with is 40799 Unlisted procedure, lips. Not very specific though.. =/
 
Don't get hung up on the technique name

For an accurate response to surgical coding questions, please post the scrubbed operative / procedure note.

That being said, don't get hung up on the "name" of the procedure. Look at the body of the report and code based on what was done. Was there a tissue advancement flap? Was this a repair to the full thickness of the lip? Was it full thickness? Did it involve vermillion only? All these phrases and conditions will give you clues as to how to code the procedure.
