I need help finding a code for pleural friction rub. I was going for 786.7, but I wanted to be sure that there wasn't a more specific code out there that I am missing.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Your code choice is correct. It is 786.7

Please look up the terms
(1) Sounds/ friction pleural
(2) Friction/ sounds, chest----both gets you to 786.7

Just make sure there is NO definitive dx given along with, like pleural effusion, pneumonia, PE or pleurisy(pleuritis)
(If yes, needs to be omitted, as you know it is integral).
