I am a student, just getting into the CPT portion of my studies. A therapist friend from a very remote town in the Northwest, called me for help.

The insurance company wrote her, the services she provided to a young child must be coded under "Multiple Disciplinary." When she called the company and asked were to find the code, she was told there was no such code.

Does this mean, each service must be coded separately, or is she supposed to use an unlisted code? Would she also use a modifier?

HELP!

If the provider is participating in a multidisciplinary treatment team meeting within a facility, then the facility code would be as follows: G0175 (Scheduled interdisciplinary team conference (minimum of three exclusive of patient care nursing staff) with patient present).
