I graduated from an accredited HIT program 5 years ago. I have my CPC-A through AAPC and my RHIT through AHIMA. The past 5 years I have worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician and have applied for probably 100 coding positions and rarely get any response at all. My coding experience is limited to clinical work while getting my degree but I want nothing more than to get a coding position. I am open to part-time, full-time, volunteer (to get my foot in the door) I have offered to job shadow for free or take lesser income than the position offers. I have tried to be flexible in any and every way because I am committed to this as my future career. Can someone please offer some help or advice?
