If anyone could please help me with these diagnosis. I code for Home Health and there is so many different speciality diagnosis that I am not proficient in all specialities. Surgeon stated that patient had:

1) L4-5 degenerative disk space collapse with retrolisthesis. (M48.56XD and/or M43.16?)
2) Lumbar stenosis with neurogenic claudication. (M99.73?)
3) Lumbar radiculopathy. (M54.16).

1)M43.16
2) Lumbar stenosis... M48.06 the neurogenic claudication is considered a syndrome associated with the stenosis.
3)M54.16 is correct

AAPC doesnt offer much guidance in the way of Home Health coding. You may want to refer to Decision Health for Home Health coding guidance. Google Decision Health Forums
