We have a fairly small ob/gyn clinic about 11 providers.
During a patient's pre-natal care around the mid week of their pregnancy apprx. 20wks into it; we have decided to give our patients a "Prenantal COUNSELING visit" by one of our ARNPs.
The visit is about 30-45 mins included is:
counseling on any pertiant vaccinations, enrollments to the hosptial, how to breast feed, commmonc breast feeding complications, bottle feeding, what tests will be done, any special tests (lab,radiology, geneology, eect.) third trimester precautions, etc.
These visits are VERY LENGTHY and VERY educationl, however I'm unclear of how to bill this, get paid for this- without this being considered part of the global package... any suggestions,ideas???
