Anyone can explain what is the difference between the 'Diagnostic endoscopies with no identified risk factors' and 'Diagnostic endoscopies with identified risk factors"...

How we can select the MDM for Colonoscopy order...

Please anyone advice on this

Here's my two cents:

'Diagnostic endoscopies with no identified risk factors' would be used for screening colonoscopy on someone who turned 50 who has no personal or family history of polyps or colon cancer. They are being screened because their age qualifies them for the screening.

'Diagnostic endoscopies with identified risk factors" would be used for a colonoscopy on someone with a personal or family history of polyps or colon cancer. I believe Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are also considered risk factors as well. They qualify for more frequent screenings because of their history.
