Hello,

Can please anybody can help me which code should I report for arthroscopic medial plica excision with medial femoral condyle chondroplasty? I read that plica excision(29876) is included in the 29877 but not sure because chondroplasty is also included in 29876? I felt like 29877 is the right one. I will appreciate any input.

29875 and 29876 are used for plica excision, which is a synovial disorder. Plica removal from the medial compartment only would be 29875. 29875/29876 and 29877 can never be billed together. I always go with the chondroplasty code 29877.
