Can someone give guidance as to what code I should choose for this diagnosis: scapulothoracic dyskinesis

Hi,

Dyskinesia--Involuntary repetitive movements.

There are 2 codes for this symptom. For dyskinesia directly leading code 781.3. But this is related to walking and gait incoordination. So we cant take this code for scapulothoracic dyskinesia.


Another way to take code is we can go ahead by dyskinesia definition. That is involunatary movements. In ingenix movement---involuntary leading code is 781.0 . There is no specific code for scapulo-thoracic dyskinesia.

My suggestion for scapulo-thoracic dyskinesia is 781.0
