if the dr see a patient and prescribes medicine (example: pt has the flu) and then gives medicine to the rest of the family to take to prevent the flu....is there a modifier to cover that service of the patient?
 
You charge the visit level for the patient encounter as far as the doc prescribing for the rest of the family, well he is a nice guy, no charge for that, no modifer for it either.
