Infant born to mother with gestational diabetes....should this be coded to V18.0? Or is that code only for when the mother has diabetes that is not gestational? There is no mention of an effect to the baby.

if there is no effect to the infant then the infant's claim needs no code for this. The mom had gestational diabetes this is not the same as family hx of DM.
