Hi,

I need help or clarifiaction on Neoplasm...

If a patient is receiving IMRT ( Intensity Modulated Treatment Delivery) 77418 for secondary lung maligant.... On the Dictation for the Diagnosis it states: Metastatic colon carcinoma to the lung.....

Would I code 197.0( secondary lung maligant) and 153.9(colon cancer).......

Or Would I just code 197.0 because the IMRT is for secondary lung cancer....


Please help!!!!!!!!!

I think I have read somewhere that you would only need to code the 197.0 since that is what the treatment is being directed at.

Hi,
You can code only the 197.0(secondary lung maligant),related to the procedure and dont confuse about the Dictation.
